Choose the route with the opening reward
Neow’s offers can change what the early map can afford. An opening that removes all Gold conflicts with a planned purchase, while an effect rewarding normal combats changes the value of a route full of events and elites. Compare the reward with the actual path before choosing it.
Fishing Rod
Fishing Rod upgrades a random card after every three normal combats. Elite fights do not advance that normal-combat condition. The upgrade is random, so it may land on a starter rather than the card intended to carry the boss fight.
Do not abandon an affordable elite, shop or needed rest simply to obtain one more tick. Compare the delayed random upgrade with the specific reward being passed. If the deck is already suited to several normal combats, the Rod can add value without forcing a different route.
Silken Tress and the first reward
Silken Tress removes starting Gold and enchants the first card reward with Glam. Its benefit depends on the actual reward offered. It is not permission to assume the first rare or engine card will appear, and it changes the ability to buy a potion or removal at an early shop.
After selecting the opening, inspect the first reward on its own merits. Adding a card solely because it has the enchantment can burden later hands when its effect does not fit the deck.
Neow’s Bones
Neow’s Bones gives two random Neow relics and a random Curse. The Curse’s restriction matters as much as the bonus count. A planned removal only helps if that Curse is removable and the deck can afford the shop before it causes a dangerous hand.
Use the Ancient guide for reward tradeoffs and the Merchant guide for removal costs.
