The main-branch baseline is Major Update #2, v0.107.1. The later v0.111.0 release is on the experimental beta branch. Mega Crit’s October Neowsletter schedules the next large beta update for November 12 and says the default branch will be brought up to the existing beta’s content, balance changes and fixes.

Changes already on the main branch

Major Update #2 replaced Doormaker with Aeonglass in Act 3. A guide that still lists Doormaker as a current boss describes an older encounter pool. Prepare for Aeonglass’s Artifact, Wither generation and attack cycle instead of following the removed fight’s room-management instructions.

The update also added the Bestiary to the Compendium. Use it alongside the actual intent displayed during combat: enemy powers, difficulty and temporary effects can change what the current attack means for your deck.

Neow gained three rewards: Kaleidoscope gives two card rewards from other characters’ pools, Fishing Rod upgrades a random deck card after every three normal combats, and Silken Tress enchants the first card reward while removing starting Gold. These affect early routing and shop plans, not just the opening relic list.

Randomness and old seeds

The v0.107.1 update replaced the game’s random-number generator after correlations were found between separate random systems. Older advice that predicts a reward from an unrelated opening outcome no longer has the same basis.

The change also limits how useful an old seed demonstration is as a current walkthrough. A seed is not a guarantee of identical card choices after a version update. Compare the version, branch, character and mode before trying to reproduce a reported run.

Main and beta strategy

Balance changes arrive on beta before becoming the default rules. A beta card rework can change a guide’s recommendation even when the card keeps the same name. Compare the current card text and upgrade with the version used by the guide.

On November 2, the new November content is still forthcoming. An announced alternate act or character is not yet an available route or unlock. The existing main-branch roster and encounter pool remain the basis for current Standard-run guides.
