| Confront with Truth | Add Decay to your Deck. Enchant a card that Exhausts with Soul's Power. |
| Accept the Forgotten Soul | Obtain Forgotten Soul. |
Confront with Truth adds Decay to the deck and enchants an eligible Exhaust card with Soul’s Power. The enchantment removes Exhaust. The other branch gives Forgotten Soul, which deals a small amount of random enemy damage whenever a card Exhausts.
Choose according to the card that would receive the enchantment. An important once-per-combat resource card can become available again after the deck cycles. That can be a substantial improvement, but it is not an immediate replay and does not guarantee the card returns in the next hand.
Decay deals damage when left in hand at turn end. It also takes a draw that could have found the enchanted card. If the deck can discard or Exhaust the Curse, it has a way to reduce that cost during combat. A later shop removal is another option, but its price and distance belong in the decision now.
Removing Exhaust can also remove a useful trigger. A deck relying on Feel No Pain, Dark Embrace or Forgotten Soul receives value when cards leave combat. A stronger repeatable card may still be worth it, but the two branches support different forms of repetition.
Confront with Truth can be disabled when there is no eligible card with Exhaust that can receive the enchantment. Merely seeing the word Exhaust somewhere in an effect does not establish that the chosen card itself meets the event’s requirements. Inspect the selectable recipient rather than planning around an unavailable branch.
If no suitable recipient exists, compare Forgotten Soul with the number of Exhaust activations the deck actually produces. Its random damage can help clear small enemies, but it should not be counted as reliable targeted removal against one dangerous attacker in a group.
