Drink now or save the bottle?
Fruit Juice increases maximum HP by five. Use it when you want that lasting health increase or need to free its potion slot for a more immediately useful consumable. Keeping it indefinitely has an opportunity cost: the occupied slot cannot carry another emergency answer.
Reptile Trinket supplies a concrete reason to delay drinking. The relic grants three Strength for the current turn whenever you use a potion. Saving Fruit Juice for an attacking turn can combine its permanent maximum-HP gain with that temporary damage bonus. Drinking after the attacks misses that turn’s offensive benefit.
Without an actual interaction to preserve, do not save it simply because it is rare. Compare the next potion reward and the route ahead. A known Block Potion can solve a dangerous turn that an unused maximum-health bottle does not address.
The lasting HP gain and the temporary on-use bonus have different durations. Reptile Trinket’s Strength expires at turn end; Fruit Juice does not become combat-long Strength. For a consumable that heals a percentage of maximum HP instead, compare Blood Potion rather than assuming all health potions perform the same job.
