Empty slots determine the refill
Entropic Brew fills empty potion slots with random potions. It does not replace the useful potions you already carry or guarantee a particular defensive result. More empty slots give it more room to supply new options.
Before drinking it during a difficult turn, consider whether another carried potion should be used first. Spending a useful Block Potion or damage potion can both improve the current position and open a slot for the Brew. Discarding a good potion solely for another random result is a different gamble and may be worse than keeping the known answer.
Sozu prevents obtaining potions. A refill effect does not bypass that restriction. Extra capacity from Potion Belt can increase the available room in ordinary circumstances, but capacity and permission to obtain potions are separate requirements.
After the refill, inspect every result before ending the turn. A potion that helps a long combat is not necessarily an answer to an immediate lethal attack, and a new cost-changing potion can alter the intended sequence. The potion guide compares direct damage, defense, energy and draw so that the random supply becomes a usable plan.
