Discard timing

Acrobatics costs one Energy, draws three cards and then discards one. Untouchable has Sly, so choosing it for that discard plays its Block effect for free. Choosing Tactician can produce Energy through its Sly play instead. Read the receiving card, not just the presence of the keyword.

The normal end-of-turn discard does not qualify. Keeping a Sly card until the turn ends does not replace the outlet. The keyword guide distinguishes those timings.

Acrobatics upgrade

Acrobatics+ draws four cards and still discards one. It improves access without increasing the number selected for that discard. If the hand contains several expensive Sly cards and only one outlet, the upgrade does not automatically play them all.

Add enough outlets before adding more payoffs. A deck with excellent free effects but no way to discard them during the turn can lose to its ordinary Energy costs. The Sly strategy includes first-cycle planning and Master Planner’s limitations.
