Pillar of Creation sequencing
In the creation Regent build, Pillar of Creation rewards creation, not the later act of playing a created card. Manifest Authority already supplies Block while creating a random Colorless card; with Pillar in play, that creation also produces its reward. Playing the generated card afterward is a separate action with its own cost and effect.
If Pillar is at the bottom of the deck, earlier creation does not pay it retroactively. Draw and an affordable defensive hand can be more useful than another expensive generator that produces its cards before the Power appears.
Energy and Star costs
A hand full of Colorless cards may still lack Energy to play them. Some generated cards help immediately; others should be transformed or left unused rather than purchased with the turn’s last defensive resource. BEGONE! and GUARDS!!! provide ways to turn unwanted cards into Minion cards while participating in creation interactions.
Cards created by the player are the relevant resource. Do not count enemy-added junk as free Block from this Power. Also distinguish creating a new card from moving an existing card out of the discard pile.
On Main, the reward is three Block per created card, increased to four by the upgrade. For three creations after setup, that is nine or twelve Block from Pillar itself. Use the creation build’s mix of generators, payoffs and unwanted-card disposal. Adding every random-card effect can leave the deck unable to find its original defensive cards after a reshuffle.
