Card creation triggers

Manifest Authority grants Block and adds a random Colorless card to hand. The new card is created; drawing an existing card from the deck is a different action. Pillar of Creation supplies Block when cards are created. Arsenal supplies Strength from creation in the current main-branch text, rather than requiring every created card to be played first.

That distinction changes sequencing. Play a payoff before the generator when its cost and the incoming attack allow it. Generating several cards and then playing the Power cannot collect those earlier creation triggers. Retrieving an already existing card from discard also should not be counted as a fresh creation.

Reliable actions and random options

Manifest Authority provides its printed Block even when the random card is not useful immediately. Spectrum Shift supplies a created Colorless card on later turns after setup. Quasar offers a choice among generated options, while Bundle of Joy provides several random cards together. They differ in timing, cost and how much control the player receives.

Do not assume random generation will find a particular answer to this turn’s attack. Keep deterministic Block or debuffs for the dangerous turn. An attractive generated attack is not useful now if the deck has spent all energy establishing Powers and making the cards.

Turning creation into damage

Supermassive improves with cards created during the combat. It can become a finisher for activity the deck already performs. Arsenal instead improves ordinary attacks through Strength. Choose the payoff that suits the attacks present, rather than waiting for a rare card before allowing the deck to deal damage.

Heirloom Hammer can copy a Colorless card in hand, but that requires an actual target worth copying. The copied card also needs to be playable when it arrives. An expensive generator plus an expensive copy target can overload the same turn even when the eventual value is large.

Upgrades and a smaller package

A cheaper Spectrum Shift setup can improve the opening cycle. More Block on a regular generator can be more valuable when the deck already produces plenty of cards but still loses health. Another setup Power is a poor fix for an inability to survive the first few draws.

Once the engine produces enough value, prioritize access, energy and encounter-specific answers. Keep a Star or Forge package if it provides dependable defense or damage. A creation strategy is strongest when the generated options expand a functioning turn, rather than being the only hope that the turn works at all.
