The Void arrives later
TURBO gains two energy now, or three after upgrading, and puts a Void into discard. The Void’s energy loss occurs when it is drawn. Creating it does not immediately subtract energy from the same play, but a fast reshuffle can bring the penalty into the current turn.
Check whether the extra energy changes what you can play. Paying for a necessary defense or completing a kill can justify the future draw cost. Playing TURBO simply because it costs zero can add a status without obtaining a useful benefit.
Repeated TURBO plays create repeated Voids. A deck that survives the opening but clogs later needs a way to manage those statuses or finish combat before they matter. The Steam Defect discussion specifically describes long fights becoming difficult when hands fill with statuses despite strong card-draw tools.
TURBO can extend an Unceasing Top turn by providing energy for later cards, but the unplayable Void it creates can eventually stop the empty-hand condition. Treat energy gain, status generation and draw access as separate parts of the interaction. The Defect guide connects these options to other forms of damage and defense.
